Access Up to $4,250 in Training Incentives

Eligible pharmacies can access up to $4,250 in combined government incentives per trainee when staff are employed under a traineeship pathway and enrolled in a Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy.

This includes the WA Jobs & Skills Employer Incentive of up to $4,250 based on traineeship duration.

Gateway Training supports pharmacies with funding eligibility checks, enrolment coordination, and required documentation from start to finish, helping minimise admin to ensure the process remains simple and compliant.

NOTE: Incentives are subject to eligibility criteria, funding availability and training contract approval.

Certificate III in Community Pharmacy (SIR30116)

The Certificate III in Community Pharmacy is designed for team members working at the front of the shop and dispensary support level. It builds the core skills required to safely support everyday pharmacy operations while improving confidence, accuracy and professionalism from day one.

Trained staff are better equipped to handle OTC enquiries, assist with medication supply under supervision, follow correct store protocols and procedures and support pharmacists during busy trading periods.

Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy (SIR40116)

The Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy is suited for senior pharmacy staff who already work confidently on the floor and are ready to take on greater responsibility. This qualification strengthens leadership, advanced OTC support, and higher-level dispensary assistance under pharmacist supervision.

Staff trained at this level can manage more complex customer interactions, manage, support and train junior staff members and contribute to stronger professional standards across the pharmacy.

How the Traineeship Process Works

Upskilling your pharmacy team through Gateway Training is simple, structured and fully supported from start to finish.

1. Check Your Funding Eligibility

We confirm employer and staff eligibility for Traineeship funding and Government incentives, including Federal and WA programs. This ensures you understand available funding opportunities before progressing. 

2. Enrol Your Staff

Once eligibility is confirmed, we manage enrolments into the Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy and create the Traineeship Training Plan aligned to your workforce and business needs.

3. Gateway Manages The Rest
