Course Description
Course Delivery
Our Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is offered in two formats: classroom-based learning at select locations and workplace-based training for those enrolled in a traineeship program. This course is delivered through Gateway Training Academy, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO ID 32305).

Note: The availability of certain resources is contingent upon whether you are enrolled in classroom-based learning or workplace-based training.
Certification Upon Completion
Successful completion of this qualification results in:
– A Nationally Recognised Certificate & Transcript, or
– A Statement of Attainment for competency in at least one unit.
Entry Requirements
This course has no specific academic prerequisites. Students are required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) – along with photo identification, and meet the necessary Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital skills (LLND).
Placement Prerequisites
Working with Children Check (or equivalent), National Police Check, First Aid certification, and up-to-date vaccinations are required for placement.
Child Safety & Child Protection Training
Nominated supervisors, staff, and volunteers, including students on placement, must complete the mandatory National Child Safety module and satisfy relevant child protection, screening, and placement requirements before working in an ACECQA-regulated education and care service. The training is delivered via the Geccko platform, with further details to be provided during the course.
